Application Phase: October 2025 – February 2026

The application window for 2027 entry opened Tuesday 14 October 2025 and closes at 6 pm (AWST) Friday 6 February 2026 for Year 7, 9, 10, and 11. Parent information evenings ran Wednesday 15 October to Wednesday 26 November 2025; recordings remain on the Department site if you missed them.

Testing details are emailed after applications close. Year 7 students sit standard ASET on Saturday 7 March 2026 (Perth metro, Bunbury, Albany). Years 9, 10, and 11 sit on Sunday 8 March 2026. Regional WA students (excluding Bunbury/Albany) test Monday 9 – Tuesday 10 March 2026. Adjusted-conditions ASET runs Tuesday 17 – Friday 27 March 2026 (Perth metro only).

ASET performance reports are emailed Friday 29 May 2026. You then have set windows to change preferences before each offer round. Missing a response deadline means the place passes to the next ranked applicant.

When do WA ASET applications close for 2027 entry?

Applications close at 6 pm Friday 6 February 2026 for Year 7, 9, 10, and 11 entry. Late applications are only considered under exceptional circumstances, according to the WA Department of Education.

When is the ASET test for Year 7 entry in 2027?
